USS Witek (DD-848)

USS Witek on her trial run.  Typical Gearing-class equipment of three twin-5" guns, all controlled by the Mark 37 GFCS with the Mark 12 and Mark 22 "Orange peel" mounted on top. The mast holds the Mark 26 Air-search radar and the SG-series surface-search radar. Two twin 40mms are mounted alongside the forward stack, one on each side. Between the stacks is a 5-tube torpedo launcher. Two DBM Radar Direction Finder and Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) antennas are mounted forward of the aft stack. Aft of the rear stack are three staggered quad-40mm guns.  Talk about packing an AA punch!
